About The Position
Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. This is a full-time night shift position, 36 hours per week, at the Sarasota Campus Emergency Care Center.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
- For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification upon completion of department orientation.
- National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke PSA/ACE certification upon completion of department orientation.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention certification upon completion of department orientation.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one (1) year of completing department orientation.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within one (1) year of completing department orientation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
- FL Registered Nurse License.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in nursing specialty area.
- A minimum of one (1) year of emergency RN experience.
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN).
