About The Position

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for its Inpatient Oncology Unit. The nurse will provide clinical expertise and high-quality, efficient care to medical-surgical oncology patients. The hospital describes providing staffing support, technology, supplies, and ongoing clinical education to help nurses deliver safe care.

Requirements

• Must hold a Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure; if holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Critical-thinking skills, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene in, and evaluate the care of medical-surgical oncology patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, including posting test and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
