About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the PreSurgery Ambulatory department at Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL. The position is part-time, working day shifts. The salary range is $39.75 - $56.11 per hour. The nurse will deliver direct nursing care, implement individualized care plans, and carry out provider orders. This includes continuously monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition changes. The role also involves performing pre-procedure nursing assessments, collaborating with healthcare teams for discharge planning, and serving as a liaison across clinical disciplines and medical staff for pre-admission patient care coordination.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
RN with 3-5 years PAT or Day Surgery experience, or hospital nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care, implement individualized care plans, and carry out provider orders while continuously monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition changes in accordance with established protocols.
Perform pre-procedure nursing assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to identify, evaluate, and coordinate patient discharge planning needs prior to surgery.
Serve as the primary liaison across all clinical disciplines, medical staff, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless, well-coordinated patient care delivery throughout the pre-admission phase.
