About The Position

Sentara is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) at Norfolk General Hospital's Medical Specialties LEVEL UP Program in partnership with the Emergency Department, in Norfolk Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity for new RN grads that are seeking to land in the Emergency Department (ED)! Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 offered for qualified candidates. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire. Our unit is recognized for our collective achievements and contributions to the safe, high-quality care we deliver to our patients on a daily basis. We are a 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit. Our diverse patient population includes but is not limited to CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and, an assortment of varying disease processes. We one main Nursing Station and 7 Substations. Within those Substations you can visualize your patient assignment and govern your own work area. Equipment utilized on unit has EPIC integration, thus decreasing your time inputting data. We live out our “no staff left behind” motto and teamwork model by staying in contact with each other through the use of walkie talkies, including the management team. We are ALL invested and willing to assist you in your goal to deliver stellar care!

Requirements

• RN Degree
• Virginia RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire
