About The Position

Sentara is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) at Norfolk General Hospital's Medical Specialties LEVEL UP Program in partnership with the Emergency Department, in Norfolk Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity for new RN grads that are seeking to land in the Emergency Department (ED)! Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 offered for qualified candidates. Shift: Full Time, Night shift (7p-7a) Overview Sentara is a career destination for professional nursing. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

  • RN Degree REQUIRED
  • Virginia RN License REQUIRED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire
