About The Position

Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, the RN Hospice Field is responsible for providing quality care to patients with Gulfside Healthcare Services, in the field. The field includes patients who reside in private residences, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing homes. The RN Hospice Field utilizes assessment, intervention, and education to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life for the patient/family. The RN Hospice Field oversees and case manages the needs of the patients assigned to them. This includes providing supervision for the LPN’s and CNA’s, and other assigned staff in the field. The RN Hospice Field is responsible for maintaining his/her own clinical and mandatory education requirements and for meeting the established standards of their profession as well as those accountable for his/her practice, assigned duties/patient care, and is an advocate for patients/families and their profession. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
  • AHCA Level 2 Fingerprint screening for eligibility through the AHCA Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (for most positions).

Responsibilities

  • Providing quality care to patients in the field (private residences, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing homes).
  • Utilizing assessment, intervention, and education to maximize patient comfort and enhance quality of life.
  • Overseeing and case managing assigned patients.
  • Providing supervision for LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned staff in the field.
  • Maintaining clinical and mandatory education requirements.
  • Meeting established standards of their profession.
  • Being accountable for practice, assigned duties, and patient care.
  • Acting as an advocate for patients/families and their profession.
