About The Position

The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families for whom the nurse is responsible. The Registered Nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable to patients for the quality of care delivered. The Short Stay Unit is a fast-paced 25-bed unit that cares for a variety of patients undergoing same-day/outpatient care, from pre/post-operative surgical and cardiac care to infusions. This unit operates Monday through Friday from 6 am to 8 pm, with no on-call, night shift, or weekend requirements. Requirements

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.

• Assesses patient reports/records changes in condition and notifies the physician and/or supervisor, intervening appropriately and documenting accordingly.
• Accepts assignments in areas other than the primary unit and performs duties within individualized competency.

• Promotes advancement of the profession through participation in professional organizations.
