OakLeaf Clinics - Eau Claire Medical Clinic has an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as a full-time RN! We're seeking a skilled RN to join our busy, multi-specialty clinic with strong triage, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities. Plus, enjoy a predictable schedule with weekday clinic hours only (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with no weekends or holidays! OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes
- Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to complete documentation for medical record purposes
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Passionate about providing patient-focused care
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Prior Epic experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess the patient's needs to make appropriate and independent/collaborative decisions for selecting a specific triage plan
- Use departmental evidence-based protocols to triage patients
- Instruct patients on their healthcare
- Document all interactions with patients and providers when medical direction is given
- Coordinate services with other departments for follow-up based on the patient's needs
- Communicate problems, concerns, and suggestions to lead nurses or the clinic manager
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in professional and clinical areas
- Provide professional nursing care under supervision or within the scope of licensure for clinic patients
- Facilitate/perform the gathering of patient information and document accordingly
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Instruct patients and families by phone as directed within the scope of licensure or certification
- Screen patients for appropriate information
- Maintain a timely flow of patients and complete forms as needed
- Assist with office procedures as directed
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
- Maintain patient confidentiality
