About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in the Post Acute Inpatient Rehab department at Texas Health Dallas. This role focuses on meeting basic human needs, showing human respect, appreciating unique meanings, addressing affiliation needs by engaging families and caregivers, and engaging in mutual problem-solving with patients and families regarding their health and illness. The department is CARF accredited and holds certifications for Stroke and Amputee Programs, offering numerous educational and learning opportunities.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in Nursing or Associate’s degree in nursing or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program
RN – Registered upon hire
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
1 year of Med-Surg and/or Post Acute Inpatient Rehab experience
FIM – Functional Independent Measure within 6 months
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
CRRN – Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse upon hire
