Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Emergency Department of a critical access hospital in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This is a 13-week contract assignment with 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM and 36 guaranteed hours per week. The position requires every-third-weekend rotation and holiday coverage, including Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve. The nurse must also float to an affiliated hospital location in Harvard, Illinois. Epic is the electronic medical record system used. The role requires comfort working independently in a critical access hospital emergency department and collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary care teams. The listed compensation is a weekly gross range of $1,900 to $2,100, a blended hourly rate of $55 to $59, and weekly taxable pay of $972.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- Current NIHSS certification.
- Current TNCC certification.
- Strong emergency nursing assessment, medication administration, care planning, and critical-thinking skills.
- Comfort working independently in a critical access hospital emergency department.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams.
