About The Position

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, on the third (night) shift. The role is based in a new Emergency Department designed around safety, patient flow, quality, and service, with a Crisis Stabilization Unit serving the behavioral health population. The position offers the opportunity to care for patients in rural Northeastern North Carolina as part of a supportive team. Emergency department experience is preferred.

Requirements

Degree or diploma in registered nursing is required; students completing an accredited nursing program may also apply.
An active registered nursing license is required; students in the process of obtaining a registered nursing license may also apply.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Registered nurse experience is strongly preferred.
One year of acute care experience is preferred.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
