About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) travel assignment in Joplin, Missouri. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to medically complex and critically ill patients in a fast-paced LTAC setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in LTAC, telemetry, acute care, or critical care environments and possess strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Active RN License required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Previous RN experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
Nice To Haves
- Experience in LTAC, telemetry, acute care, or critical care environments
- Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to LTAC patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and patient safety protocols
- Support care coordination and continuity of care initiatives
