About The Position
A healthcare facility in Columbia, Missouri is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to medically complex patients requiring extended hospitalization and advanced treatment support.
Requirements
- Active Missouri RN License or Compact State RN License required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1–2 years of LTAC nursing experience preferred
- Strong critical care and patient monitoring skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for LTAC patients with complex medical conditions
- Monitor and manage ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and critical care treatments
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory values, and patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure high-quality patient care standards
