This specific role is for a Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health team at Baptist Jacksonville, working full-time night shifts. The position involves providing patient care through the nursing process, coordinating with ancillary services, and educating patients and their families. Diploma nurses with 5+ years of progressive care experience are also considered. The role serves as a patient advocate and provides care for various medical conditions. The position is located in the Main Building in Downtown Jacksonville.

Requirements

1-2 years Behavioral Health Nursing Experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
This position is designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) and will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Responsibilities

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
