About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team at the Fort Smith Family Medical Center. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Patient and Family-Centered Care within the clinic, managing patient flow, and promoting wellness, improved outcomes, and self-care among a defined patient population. The RN will also provide support, education, and assistance to patients with chronic conditions to help them prevent and maintain their health. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
Valid RN License
Minimum of one (1) year Registered Nursing experience. Will consider RN with two (2) years of LPN clinical experience.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and patient education either by telephone or within the UAMS Clinic.
Delivers nursing care according to standards as defined by UAMS, American Nurses Association (ANA), AR State Board of Nursing (ASBN), and those set forth by nursing specialty organizations.
Coordinates care and/or follow-up for patients who receive care in inpatient and outpatient facilities.
Implements patient care using an approach that is interdisciplinary and Patient and Family-Centered Care.
Effectively collaborates and communicates with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
May perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of UAMS.
