Registered Nurse - RN - Emergency Room
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center delivers care to emergent and critical patients. The role includes didactic learning to build Emergency Department nursing knowledge, using a state-of-the-art simulation lab, and applying critical thinking to manage high-acuity and complex patients. Nurses can pursue trauma nurse certification and professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position on a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. The hourly pay range is $36.15–$59.95, based on working RN experience; unit-based specialty pay is available for experienced nurses with at least one year of RN experience.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Rotating weekends and holidays are part of the schedule.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience is ideal.
- At least one year of acute inpatient nursing experience may qualify candidates for training.
- ACLS and TNCC certification; support is available after hire.
