About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Ambulatory Care Flex Team at the University of Rochester. The role involves providing competent direct patient care, supporting unit activities, and enhancing the care delivery system. The nurse will also support peers and may take on expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member. This unique opportunity allows nurses to work across various Ambulatory specialty care and procedural areas, supporting staffing needs with temporary assignments ranging from 8-16 weeks. Patient care responsibilities include clinic visits, pre/intra/post-procedure care, telephone triage, and care coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment and communication skills, be proactive and autonomous in decision-making, have good organizational skills, and demonstrate flexibility in fast-paced environments. This role is suitable for experienced nurses or those interested in the Ambulatory Care Nurse Residency program. Responsibilities

Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
Contribute to unit activities and support the enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
Assume expanded roles which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
Work temporary assignments ranging from 8-16 weeks in support of staffing needs within Ambulatory patient care clinics.
Provide patient care opportunities including clinic visits, pre-intra-post procedure care, telephone triage and care coordination.
