About The Position

Community Hospital is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its medical-surgical unit in Grand Junction, Colorado. This is an in-person, onsite position, and the employee must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work. The position is for nights and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The anticipated compensation range is $36.00–$41.40 per hour, depending on qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. A $15,000 night-shift bonus is available for RNs with at least two years of experience. Additional discretionary compensation may be available but is not guaranteed. Requirements

RN license.
Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of RN experience qualifies for the stated $15,000 night-shift bonus.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
Administer medications, perform wound care, and carry out medical procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to treatments.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Use critical thinking to assess patient conditions, anticipate potential complications, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Make sound clinical decisions based on evidence-based practice and experience.
