About The Position

Montrose Regional Health is hiring a new graduate Registered Nurse for its 24-bed Medical Surgical Unit, which has all private rooms. The unit cares for pediatric and adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Services include chemotherapy administration, physical therapy, nutrition counseling, hospice care, ostomy care, and weekend infusion services. Discharge and social services help patients transition back to health. The position is located in Montrose, Colorado and is full-time, night shift.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate.
• Current Colorado or compact-state RN license, or ability to become licensed.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a bachelor's degree, associate degree, or nursing diploma.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS or ENPC certification required within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients with medical and surgical conditions.
• Administer chemotherapy and contribute to services such as physical therapy, nutrition counseling, hospice care, ostomy care, and infusion services, as appropriate.
• Support patient discharge and coordination with social services.
