RN (Registered Nurse)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in a 26-bed long-term care facility caring for residents with conditions including heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. The nurse serves as charge nurse, administers medications, and performs wound care. The facility uses the Matrix EMR. Staffing ratios are approximately 1 nurse to 10 residents on day shifts and 1 to 19 at night. There are no IVs, titratable drips, telemetry monitors, or call/standby duties. Oxygen equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators. Pharmacy services are off-site. The schedule consists of 12-hour shifts from 7 to 7, with no blocked schedule or self-scheduling. Weekend work is required every other weekend, and nurses work every other major holiday. There are no floating requirements. Department-specific orientation is 2–3 shifts. Dress code is unspecified, but attire must be clean and presentable. The position requires long-term care experience and BLS certification. Candidates may not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at a facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. Requested time off must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days during the 13-week contract; additional requests will not be approved, including after submission.
