About The Position

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. The Emergency Department is located on the main floor at Parkview DeKalb. The unit has 13 beds and treats patients of all different ages with medical, surgical, and mental health needs. The level of acuity can vary greatly from a basic medical need to life threatening emergency.

Requirements

• Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN
• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required.
• CPR certification.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
• Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients of all different ages with medical, surgical, and mental health needs.
• Manage varying levels of patient acuity from basic medical needs to life-threatening emergencies.
