About The Position

The Registered Nurse on PEP delivers care for patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. This includes de-escalation and crisis management under the supervision of providers. Also, creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Has the option to cross train on Pathways. Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP) is a 6-bed emergency behavioral crisis unit located within the ED. Elliot Behavioral Health Services is staffed by a team of mental health professionals who tailor both evaluation and treatment services to each individual patient. Our state-of-the-art units provide a wide array of equipment and patient acuity depending on a nurse’s professional interests, certifications, and experience level.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN – BSN preferred)
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred
• Aggression de-escalation training approved by EHS

• Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.
