The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Assisted Living Facility (ALF) will be responsible for directing nursing care to residents and overseeing daily nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants and other care staff. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies. The RN promotes holistic care, manages resident admissions, discharges, and transfers, assesses changes in resident status, and collaborates with physicians and families. Key duties include administering medications, coordinating specialized care like wound care, performing rounds, participating in management meetings, and ensuring adequate supplies. The position also emphasizes treating residents with dignity and respect, protecting resident rights, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to safety and hygiene measures. The RN will also be involved in infection control, medication technician training, and ensuring timely transitions to home health or hospice services.
