About The Position

The RN performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients on a unit during a shift. The RN manages assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment and promotes collaboration with all members of the health care team. As a care team leader, the RN develops a work plan and provides clear directions and expectations for the care partner.

The scheduled shift is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with 12 hours per week on a PRN basis.

Requirements

• Current North Carolina Board of Nursing licensure as an RN or LPN; evidence of the individual's NCBON license is acceptable to demonstrate academic achievement.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Complete de-escalation training within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous inpatient behavioral health patient care experience.
