Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health, Day Shift
About The Position
Granite Hills Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered behavioral health care to the Milwaukee community. The hospital serves children, adolescents, adults, and older adults through evidence-based treatment and a multidisciplinary team. Its new 120-bed facility includes enclosed outdoor spaces intended to promote healing. The Staff Nurse is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with health team members, following the nursing process and applicable standards of care and practice. The position is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. New graduates are welcome. All new hires must complete a two-week orientation, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing or hold a Compact License.
- Obtain CPR certification and training in the appropriate use of seclusion and restraint within 30 days of employment.
- Successfully complete CPI training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment; certifications may be obtained during new-hire orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- At least one year of experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
