About The Position
Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We have an opening for a Registered Nurse - RN.
Requirements
- NY RN - Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a long-term care setting or a new graduate with the desire to learn.
- English language required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in assessment and care planning for residents.
- Assist in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units.
- Regular rounding on nursing units.
- Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers.
- Assure complete and accurate documentation through spot-checking and on-going supervision.
- Consult with Unit Managers in the provision of continuity of care to residents.
- Assist in ensuring adequate staffing for the nursing department.
- Assist in direct resident care and work as a staff nurse.
- Prepare/administer performance reviews for shift staff in consultation with unit managers.
