About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to provide care to patients in all settings, in collaboration with interdisciplinary personnel. Using organizational resources, the RN advocates for patients and delivers safe care, including delegating care and participating in performance and practice improvement. The RN’s actions and communications should reflect Kettering Health Network’s mission, vision, values, and policies when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers. This is a resource position at Kettering Health Miamisburg, in the ICU 2NE, with 12-hour night shifts. The Registered Nurse reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Hold an Ohio Registered Nurse license.
• Have at least 12 months of RN experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Be scheduled for a minimum of 1,152 hours per calendar year.
• Work a minimum of 12 shifts (144 hours) per six-week schedule.
• Meet the weekend shift requirement.
• Work two holidays per year.
