About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to provide nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with interdisciplinary personnel. Using organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate and supports safe care through delegation and participation in performance and practice improvement. The RN’s actions and communications should reflect Kettering Health Network’s mission, vision, values, and policies when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers. The position is based at KH Miamisburg in the ICU 2NE resource pool and works 12-hour night shifts. The RN reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
- Have at least 12 months of RN experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
- Hold BLS certification.
- Obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire.
- Be scheduled for a minimum of 1,152 hours per calendar year.
- Work a minimum of 12 shifts (144 hours) per six-week schedule.
- Meet the weekend shift requirement.
- Work two holidays per year.
