About The Position

This role involves providing dedicated, one-on-one clinical care to a student with a tracheostomy within a school clinic setting. The Registered Nurse will ensure the student's safety, comfort, and continuous monitoring throughout the school day. This includes implementing and adapting personalized care plans, tracking and communicating vital health changes, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary care team comprising physicians, specialists, and school staff. The nurse will execute physician and nursing orders with precision and empathy, adhering to clinical safety protocols, and manage proactive transition and discharge planning to support the student's long-term health and academic success.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
