About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team at Good Samaritan Hospital. The nurse will use specialized training, knowledge and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. MultiCare aims to create an environment where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly, receive professional development support and understand the future of nursing at the organization. The position is 0.9 FTE, with 12-hour night shifts on a template schedule and rotating weekends. Good Samaritan Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County, with services and facilities including a Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, a Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, a Children’s Therapy Unit and a 24-hour Emergency Department.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certification in a specialty area preferred.
One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
