Registered Nurse (RN), Women's Health (Temp)
About The Position
Fairview Range is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Women's Health and Birth Center team in Hibbing, MN. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients and oversees unit operations for a shift when functioning as charge nurse. All RNs within the unit are trained to Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and lactation support. Some RNs on the unit are Certified Lactation Consultants. We offer inpatient and outpatient lactation support services through IBCLC, CLC, and lactation trained RNs. This position is a temporary FTE increase to 0.9 FTE, 12-hour Day/Night shifts and every third weekends. Anticipated time frame is 90 days for the temporary FTE (July - September). The unit has 10 beds, including 4 private labor and delivery suites, and sees more than 300 baby deliveries annually. The care team includes OB Physicians, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Family Practice Physicians, CRNAs, RNs, and Unit Assistants.
Requirements
- Current WHBC RN
- Current RN licensure required

Responsibilities
- Performs a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as ongoing assessments.
- Analyzes assessment data, identifies problems and develops the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, significant other and resource personnel.
- Provides age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.
