About The Position

Our Minimally Invasive Surgery Center (MISC) is a fun, fast-paced environment built on teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. We are a tight-knit, hard-working group that values collaboration and high-quality patient care. The center is designed as a four-operating room surgical suite, with a strong focus on minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. We support a diverse case mix, specializing in ENT, Pediatrics, Gynecology, General Surgery (select cases), and Podiatry. Work-life balance is a priority — there are no weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who thrive in an energetic ASC environment and enjoy working alongside a close, supportive surgical team.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required)
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience required
  • Experience in an OR setting is required
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex healthcare needs at various stages of the life cycle
  • Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Nice To Haves

  • Circulating and scrubbing experience is preferred
  • ACLS
  • PALS will need to be obtained upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self-assessment.
  • Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
