About The Position

Our Minimally Invasive Surgery Center (MISC) is a fun, fast-paced environment built on teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. We are a tight-knit, hard-working group that values collaboration and high-quality patient care. The center is designed as a four-operating room surgical suite, with a strong focus on minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. We support a diverse case mix, specializing in ENT, Pediatrics, Gynecology, General Surgery (select cases), Breast, and Podiatry. Work-life balance is a priority — there are no weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who thrive in an energetic ASC environment and enjoy working alongside a close, supportive surgical team.

Requirements

Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required)
New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)
Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience required
Experience in an OR setting is required
Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
Registered Nurse Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Nice To Haves

Circulating and scrubbing experience is preferred
ACLS PALS will need to be obtained upon hire

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self-assessment.
Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
