About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time day-shift opportunity in a high-acuity, fast-paced department providing advanced emergency care to patients across Northeast Florida. The role suits a nurse who thrives under pressure, values teamwork, and is committed to exceptional, patient-centered care. The nurse provides care for patients with medical, surgical, or emergent conditions; educates patients and families about diagnoses and plans of care; collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; coordinates ancillary services; and advocates for patient safety and satisfaction. The role also participates in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives and upholds Baptist Health’s mission, vision, and values. Eligible external hires may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500.

Requirements

1–2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
Telemetry experience.
Hospital experience.
Associate of Science in Nursing.
Licensed Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

Emergency Department experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, or NIHSS.

Responsibilities
