About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

The role is based in the Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department, a freestanding emergency department serving the Northwest Charlotte area. It provides 24-hour emergency services for patients of all ages, from minor injuries to critical conditions. The department has six emergency rooms, including a dedicated trauma room, a three-bay triage area, two observation beds, on-site imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy support, and clinical support from Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• At least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
