About The Position

Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. This role involves leading patient care by organizing and delivering comprehensive care, managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN will also act as a team leader, delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications. Additionally, the position plays a crucial role in advancing the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community, and adhering to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. The Medical Unit provides care for Neurological Patients (including stroke recovery and neurological evaluations), Respiratory Patients (such as COPD), General Medical Conditions (diabetes, infections, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding), and Post-Procedural Patients (hernia repairs, ENT surgeries).

Requirements

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
  • Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
  • BLS certification within 1 month
