About The Position

Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. This position will work 60 hours per pay period on an overnight shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, including every third weekend. The Medical Unit provides care for Neurological Patients (strokes, neurological evaluations), Respiratory Patients (COPD, respiratory conditions), General Medical Conditions (diabetes, infections, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding), and Post-Procedural Patients (hernia repairs, ENT surgeries). This position offers a hiring incentive.

Requirements

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• BLS certification within 1 month
• Verification of your legal right to work in the United States
• Health screening and immunization review
• Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience
• Background checks including criminal, urine drug screen and MVR where required.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Play a crucial role in advancing the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community we serve.
• Adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
