Requirements

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of AHWFB.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
  • Create a secure and healing environment by safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
