Requirements

Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision.
Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of AHWFB.
Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
Create a secure and healing environment by safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
Embrace technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among the healthcare team, facilitating information sharing throughout the continuum of care.
