About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit, which focuses on renal transplant, urology, peritoneal dialysis, pulmonary hypertension, and other specialties. The hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. It is recognized as a Magnet-designated hospital and is one of eight nationally accredited Pulmonary Hypertension Centers in Texas. STC 3 is a 35-bed monitored unit serving patients from young adulthood through geriatrics. Its patient population includes complex urology, pulmonary hypertension, kidney and pancreas transplant, peritoneal dialysis, and radioactive implant cases. The unit is the hospital’s only floor that performs peritoneal dialysis and the only floor equipped with lead-lined rooms for inpatient radioactive therapies. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week day position, scheduled 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus paid in three installments over 12 months. The facility is nicotine-free.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program; specialized field of study should be nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification, or must obtain it within 30 days of starting in the role.
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA).
