About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team at Covington Medical Center. The nurse will use specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting, contributing to a nursing environment that supports clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and high-quality patient care. The role is per diem, with variable shifts and 12-hour schedules.

Covington Medical Center is a four-story, 58-bed facility serving southeast King County with inpatient and outpatient surgical care, a birth center, primary and specialty care, urgent care, a 24-hour Emergency Department, pharmacy, lab, and imaging services. The position is part of a neighborhood-focused, team-oriented culture delivering patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
