About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Heart and Vascular Step-Down unit at its Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. The position is located at the Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Road and is a full-time, 12-hour day-shift role. The nurse will provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions who have stabilized after time in the CVICU and are transitioning to the step-down unit. The role involves hands-on patient care, collaboration with the healthcare team, and patient education to support recovery and wellness. The unit is described as close-knit and growth-oriented, with strong leadership and a supportive team environment. Requirements

Idaho or multistate RN license; establish Idaho residency within six months if applicable.
BLS certification.
ACLS and PALS certifications are required within designated timelines.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Care for patients who have stabilized after time in the CVICU and are transitioning to the step-down unit.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Administer medications and perform necessary procedures to support optimal patient outcomes.
Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth transitions.
