About The Position

Community Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a full-time New Graduate Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery unit. The RN provides care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. New Graduate RNs receive a supportive 12–16 week orientation with experienced mentors and participate in an evidence-based Nurse Residency program throughout their first year. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts, 1900–0730.

Requirements

• Current Montana RN license or Compact RN License with Montana endorsement.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification.
• NRP and Fetal Monitoring certifications required within six months of hire.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and promptly communicate changes in condition.
• Assist with deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about childbirth, recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Participate in orientation, residency programs, and ongoing professional development to build Labor and Delivery nursing skills.
