About The Position

Community Medical Center is hiring a full-time New Graduate Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery unit. The role provides care to mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. New graduate nurses receive a supportive 12–16 week orientation with experienced mentors and participate in an evidence-based Nurse Residency program throughout their first year. The position is scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Current Montana RN license or Compact RN License with Montana endorsement.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification.
• NRP and Fetal Monitoring certifications required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and promptly communicate changes in condition.
• Assist with deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Participate in orientation, residency programs, and ongoing professional development to build Labor and Delivery nursing skills.
