About The Position

Pathway Family Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Nurse to join their team. This role involves leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical well-being of children and adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs. The Lead Nurse will provide nursing care, ensure assessments are completed, medication management orders are fulfilled, and educate children and families about their care. The role also includes coordinating health appointments and in-house medication provider appointments, and ensuring all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements. The company is looking for someone compassionate, eager to learn, and willing to take a trauma-informed approach. This is an in-office position.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
  • Must be 21 years of age and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients.
  • Must have a valid drivers' insurance.
  • Must be eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
  • Must complete a Predictive Index assessment.

  • Supervision experience preferred.
  • Experience working with youth, assisting in the development of leadership and life skills.

  • Willing to collaborate with clients, families, and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of children/ adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs.
  • Provide nursing care for children working to overcome trauma.
  • Ensure all assessments are completed.
  • Ensure medication management orders are fulfilled.
  • Educate children and families about the care they are receiving.
  • Coordinate and complete health appointments.
  • Coordinate appointments with in-house medication providers.
  • Ensure all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.
