About The Position

Open Sky Community Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role is ideal for an RN who prefers a non-office or hospital setting and desires to build connections with patients in an innovative, person-centered environment. While workdays can be challenging, the pace is slower than a hospital, allowing for long-term patient relationships. Open Sky RNs are crucial to treatment teams, providing guidance, medical oversight, and individualized consultation to staff supporting vulnerable individuals. This is a 40-hour position covering residential programs in Worcester, South Norfolk, and greater Boston areas, with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts, required.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Experience with adults with disabilities strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and consultation to programs regarding medical issues, procedures, and techniques, and health and wellness practices.
• Assess and provide individualized education related to a person’s health and disease processes; reinforce wellness and preventative health measures.
• Review clinical records on a regular basis to ensure adequate services and supports are provided, including any applicable medical interventions, tests, or preventative care as necessary.
• Provide oversight to the Medication Administration Program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
