About The Position

Open Sky Community Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role is not in a traditional office or hospital setting, offering a unique opportunity to make connections with patients in an innovative, person-centered environment. The position is 40 hours per week, assigned to residential programs in the Worcester, South Norfolk, and greater Boston areas. The schedule is day shift, Monday-Friday. RNs are a cornerstone of the treatment teams, providing guidance, medical oversight, and individualized consultation to employees supporting vulnerable individuals. The role offers a clinically based, supportive, and nurturing environment with a pace slower than a hospital setting, allowing for long-term patient relationships.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts, required.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and consultation to programs regarding medical issues, procedures and techniques, and health and wellness practices.
• Assess and provide individualized education related to person’s health and disease processes; reinforce wellness and preventative health measures.
• Review clinical records on a regular basis to ensure adequate services and supports are provided, including any applicable medical interventions, tests, or preventative care as necessary.
• Provide oversight to the Medication Administration Program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
