About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room Nurse Staffing department, specifically within the Market Float Pool. The nurse will float across various locations in the Austin, TX Metro area. The position is PRN with a rotating schedule and pays $64 per hour. The nurse will deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units, implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate patient care by serving as a communication link among healthcare team members, and meticulously record patient conditions and interventions.

Requirements

Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Minimum of two years of recent Operating Room nursing experience demonstrating clinical competency across diverse, high-acuity patient populations.
Proven ability to successfully navigate and provide autonomous direct care in a multi-unit, float, or resource team environment.

Nice To Haves

Certified Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

Communicate and meticulously record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated care plan.
