Registered Nurse RN Nursing Resource Pool
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Nursing Resource Pool provides quality, patient-centered care that considers patients’ age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. The nurse integrates relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit. The Nursing Resource Pool provides scheduling flexibility and floats nurses only within St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea. Nurses receive focused orientation and training on equipment, processes, and procedures and may work in Atrium East (Med/Surg), Atrium West and Courtyard Rehab (Inpatient Rehabilitation), or Courtyard East (Med/Surg). The role is based at Chelsea Hospital and is full-time, benefit-eligible, at 72 hours per pay period. The available schedule is 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with every-third-weekend and holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Current Michigan nursing license.
- One year of recent medical-surgical or higher-acuity nursing experience.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- New hires must have a BSN or agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
- Work every third weekend and holidays.
