About The Position
Registered Nurses at Newport Healthcare provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults in treatment. The role includes direct nursing services, health monitoring, medication administration, and participation in multidisciplinary treatment teams. The compensation range is $39 to $59 per hour, based on education and experience. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The posting also notes that new evening, night, and weekend shift differentials are available for nursing positions.
Requirements
- Hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state where applying.
- Make sound decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
- Have a compassionate, patient-first mindset and support high standards of care.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to patients’ unique experiences and backgrounds.
- Be able to multitask and remain calm and organized under pressure or in stressful situations.

- Experience in residential nursing.
Responsibilities
- Complete client health screenings and provide direct care and nursing services as needed, including monitoring chronic health conditions.
- Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay information to the appropriate NP or MD.
- Serve as a vital part of patients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams.
- Administer medications and order medication refills.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including OSHA, HIPAA, medical protocols, infection control, and local, state, and federal regulations.
